When the doors to the My Sister’s Place shelter first opened in 2000, our founder Marty Owens had two goals: provide a haven for a fresh start for homeless women and children and shower all who entered with God’s love. Our program may have grown, but our focus hasn’t changed.
My Sister’s Place provides a nurturing home, transportation assistance, nutritious meals and other basic necessities to the single women and mothers with children whom we serve. While they are with us, we provide the tools and resources to help them to be in a better position when they leave than they were in when they arrived.
We rely on the support of our friends and community to help us help others. We are a nonprofit shelter (EIN 16-1619238).
