Grant Proves We’re Better Together
We are very thankful to have been selected for a Community Impact Grant award from the United Way of Hall County. This grant will greatly enhance the lives of the homeless in our community.
For the last 17 years, we have opened the doors of our shelter in love to women and children in need. Our goal has always been to help our residents overcome the obstacles that lead to their homelessness.
Because of this blessing, more women in need will be able to pursue better employment. Fewer moms will wonder where their family will sleep at night or what they will eat. More no- and low-income women will be in a position to not only plan for their futures, but to also execute the plan they create.
Although we have provided a home for the homeless for nearly 20 years, we do more than offer just a bed for the night. We always strive to offer support services to make sure that we are continually meeting the needs of our residents. Most recently, that has meant adding work experience opportunities on top of our existing life skills classes, counseling and case management.
We look forward to working with the United Way of Hall County to not only improve the lives of the homeless women and children who call our shelter home, but to also help improve the lives of those in need in our community at large.
